Macaroni penguin

The macaroni penguin is a species of penguin that was found from the subantartic to the Antarctic Peninsula, this kind of penguin is closely related to the royal penguin, they have a distinctive yellow crest, I think it is a funny characteristic from them, and in they have the face and upperparts black and sharply delineated from the white underpants. Their legs and feet are pink color, the male and female penguin is similar in appearance, their iris is red color and there is a patch of pinkish bare skin from the base of the bill to the eye. The adults weigh on average 5.5 kg and are 70 cm in length, but the weight varies markedly depending the time of year and sex. like all the penguins, these are flightless. Talking about their food, their diet consists of a variarity of crustaceans, as well as small fish, these birds moult once a year. For 6 months the penguins disperse into the oceans after the summer and they travel over 10,000km. the immature birds are distinguished for their smaller size, foot their smaller duller brown bill and the crest is fully developed in birds aged 3-4 years, that is, a year or two before breeding age.
